To My Blog Friends

I am still here and have been commenting as usual on your posts only to find out the comments were not being recorded. I got a new computer and it has been a real hassle.

I finally figured out that I have to sign in to everyone’s page over and over again. It will not remember me on many blogs. I am reading your blogs every day as usual.

My IT team grew up and moved out. Hopefully, I’ll get it figured out.

It sounds to me like you might have cross-site tracking issues. Take a look at this memo from WordPress. Firefox now disables cross-site tracking by default; once I listed WordPress as an exception in my FF settings, all was fine. On my phone, I went to Settings/Safari/Privacy & Security and turned off “Prevent Cross-site tracking.” Problem solved.

  2. I feel your pain and have not been enjoying the Block Editor vs Classic Editor. I did wonder what had become of you, I get likes but no comments. WordPress is getting wanky on the older themes, I think? Hope all is well in TX other than computer issues.

Oh, good luck. How frustrating. I have had similar problems with signing on all the time but it seems to have solved itself.

  4. The nerve of your IT team to move out. But I wish the team well.

Ugh, it’s such a pain with a new computer or phone. Rest assured that you’ll eventually get things sorted out and you’ll probably even like your new computer!

A headache for sure. Maybe the WP forum could help? Good luck!

  7. Some of it might be WordPress itself. There could be something somewhere that isn’t keeping your sign in information once you leave a blog. There are a couple that I visit where I have to “subscribe” each time or my comment won’t be displayed. It also might be your browser not saving your info. Hope you get it figured out quickly.

I have problems on certain blogs telling me “I already posted that” when it’s my very first reply to the post! I feel your comment pain!
