It was a busy day at the hummingbird feeder, but not for the hummers. A Monarch Butterfly had been visiting for a few days and I finally got a photo.

Bees are also interested in getting the sugar water. Every time they got close to the butterfly, it flapped its wings to shoo them away. The hummingbirds are currently feeding from autumn blooms.
How marvelous– I’ve never seen such a thing!
I’m glad I have the time to sit and watch the feeder. Our weather has been so nice, like a pleasant summer day up north. I finally had my good camera ready for the photo.
I knew that bees and ants would come for the sugar water, but I didn’t realize that butterflies would, too. Makes sense.
It is a first for me. The butterfly visited for several days and I finally got a shot with the big camera. The cell phone wasn’t cutting it. I have had lizards and birds too.
Guess we aren’t the only ones who enjoy a little sugar.😍
That’s for sure!
So glad you got that photo!
Luckily, I am not too scared of bees.
