Strawberry Pot

Strawberry pots can sometimes be hard to fill, but the Automatic Garden had a solution.  Wishbone Flowers (Torenia fournieri) had germinated all over from last year’s plants.  I transplanted all the free plants into the strawberry pot and was rewarded with a beautiful display.  Best of all, my patio cracks will be full of plants for next year.

What a beautiful display you’ve created from free plants. I never had any luck with strawberry pots. You are fortunate, my patio cracks are always full of weeds!

  2. A summer time Christmas tree!

My mother had a strawberry pot, and she never was satisfied with the way it looked. If she and the pot still were around, I’d show her this, and suggest she try something other than strawberries.

What a great idea. I have never grown wishbone flowers, I’ll be on the lookout for seeds!
