Just Miserable

It has been just miserable the last few weeks.  The wetness on the porch is from humidity, not rain, and the green powder is pine pollen.  On top of that we have had days of misty rain, which the local meteorologists have said it is more like Seattle than Houston.  We are hoping for a strong thunderstorm to wash it all away.

Oh dear – it looks like a mess. I’ll keep my finger crossed that you get stronger rain to wash it away soon – and that better weather is just around the corner.

You’re absolutely right. I finally turned on the AC tonight, just to get some of the humidity out of the house. The temperature inside had gone up to 80, and I’d made the mistake of opening some windows. As for the pollen — you should see it on the surface of the water in the marina. What a mess!

We had a big thunderstorm last night…not normal for Indiana this time of year.

Patiently waiting here, too! Our porch looks the same.

I can identify with that green dust in layers everywhere. The pine trees are pretty though right now.

  6. We have been misty moisty in NC also.

I’m so sorry! There is nothing worse than that green pollen…I’m allergic to it too!

  8. The humidity in Houston amazes me, considering I am in South Florida. The pollen here has been pretty bad, I gave up wearing contact lenses a few years ago because of it.

  9. Hope you got that thunderstorm to wash it away!
