Pandora Sphinx Moth

This is a Pandora Sphinx Moth. Its coloring is spectacular and is certainly meant to keep the moth blended into the background. It is also nocturnal and feeds on nectar.

I’ve never seen a moth like that, but then again, it blends so well with the leaf that maybe they’ve been around and I haven’t noticed. Thanks for always introducing me to fun and new things!

You do find the most amazing moths. I wonder what it needs these long feelers for. They look like dangerous weapons.
