While Away…

It never fails that things happen when the garden is left alone.  All across the country the weather has been severe.  Luckily, we only received high winds and rain.  None the less, clean-up was needed.

Limbs were wind pruned. (Just a few pictured here.)

Pine needles were shook from the trees providing mulch for the beds. (It had to be raked and moved.)

The winter plastic green house was blown from the corner of the porch into the yard.  Thankfully, no plants were in it.

Unrelated to the storm, the Clematis on the porch was knocked over.  It was probably a raccoon trying to get the hummingbird feeder.

  1. You were probably spared, I also had a lot of wind. And as crazy as this seems to me, I would love some pinestraw – I think it is 6 or 7 dollars a bale here!

  2. Ann Coleman says:

I’m glad you escaped major damage! Will the clematis be all right?

  3. Wind damage is serious stuff–glad to hear you guys were safe!
