Twins: Double the Trouble
Posted: August 4, 2015 Filed under: Gardening | Tags: Automatic Gardening, Backyard Critters, Gardening, Gulf Coast gardening, nature photography, raccoons, Year-round gardening 12 CommentsRaccoon Twins showed up in the garden to partake in the bird seed, which was not intended for them.
As I moved closer for better shots, one of the twins decided to show some attitude.
Finally, they had enough with poising for the camera and took to the trees. Check out the tree on the left to see the shiny eyes of the other raccoon.
A parting close-up shows just how cute this little critter is.
Later in the day, the twins were all tuckered out and napping in the tree. The temperature was in the 90’s and one was lying on top of the other, truly showing sibling love. It is hard to tell which body part belongs to which!

I almost missed the second raccoon in the other tree! Cute little guys….
Very cute, but destructive. I am hoping they will move away.
My neighbor has a raccoon named Bob, one day I glanced over, and Bob was walking in the front door..
That I would not like!
I agree, she looked at me and said “he’s friendly” diseases were not mentioned?
They sure look cute – I do hope they don’t make too much of a mess in your lovely garden…we don’t have raccoons here, but I’m assuming they make as much mess of the garden as our possums do (eating plants, flowers and fruit, digging things up and so on!)
Yes, they are trouble. Our raccoons are bigger than cats and can rip holes in houses.
So darling to look at, so destructive to live with!! But, a nice post about them!
Great post! Those little cuties are just so…cute! Just found your website and am enjoying it immensely.
I used to think they were cute…until we got poultry. *sigh*
All babies are cute, but I hope they move on. I haven’t seen them in the daytime for awhile.
I think that’s a good thing. 🙂
