Rosy Wolf Snail

DSC_0575

A Rosy Wolf Snail finally posed fully out of its shell for a photo.  It is a terrestrial snail that grows up to 3 inches and eats the smaller snails that devour garden plants.  Usually empty shells are found around the yard.  The Rosy Wolf Snail is a welcome in the garden to help keep nature in balance.

A much better solution than snail bait – and such a lovely shell!

  2. Ahhh, never new they were meat eaters!
