The Thrill of Automatic GardeningPosted: June 1, 2012
This picture looks somewhat chaotic, but this is the exciting part of automatic gardening.
During the winter the Snowdrop bulbs bloom. The foliage must stay on the plant until they naturally die back.
In the summer the broader leaf plant, which is a ginger called Dancing Lady, grows and drops her corms over the Snowdrop bulbs.
Over the past few weeks the bulb leaves have died back and with nature’s wonderful timing, the next round of plants are up and ready to share their beauty for the summer.
