Better Than Fries – Baked Cheesy Fries

Baked Cheesy Fries

Preheat oven to 425 degrees

REMEMBER to check  all your ingredients if you need to be GF!

Cooking spray

2 large potatoes

This can be adjusted.  I use about 5 potatoes

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/8 teaspoon red pepper

The last 3 ingredients also can be adjusted to the amount of potatoes.  I start with the recommended  amount and just do it again.  Don’t mix up the paprika and red pepper!

Use a metal baking pan sized to the amount of potatoes.  I like to line it with non-stick foil.

Peel potatoes and cut into wedges.

Combine dry ingredients in a gallon size baggie.

Put 6 – 10 potato wedges in baking pan and spray. This will get the pan sprayed at the same time. Transfer potatoes with tongs into the baggie and shake.  Return to pan and continue with the rest of the potatoes.  Refill the baggie with dry ingredients if needed.

Bake 30 minutes or until done.

I like mine well done, so I usually bake for 45 minutes.

The cheese makes them tastier and baking makes them lower in fat than tradition fries.  These are great with steak or burgers!
